About The Club

The Surfers Paradise Game and Sport Fishing Club has been set up to accommodate the needs of all caring sporting anglers in the Gold Coast area of Southern Queensland, Australia. To accommodate this aim the club is affiliated with both major governing bodies in Australia the Queensland Game Fishing Association Inc (QGFA) and the Australian National Sportfishing Association (ANSA).

The inaugural club committee is made up of a group with many years not only Game and Sport Fishing but many years on club committees. Their experience and dedication can only see this club expand to serve its members and Sport and Game Fishing well into the future.

To sum up our aims is quite simple:

- Promote Junior and Family Participation in our sport

- Generate respect for other members, anglers, the fish we seek and the
environment they come from.

- Promote sportsmanship in the methods we use to seek and catch fish.

- Aid in tagging and scientific research.

- Protect the all waters from exploitation to ensure not only the survival by the regeneration of the numbers of fish in those waters.

- To make educational material and seminars available to all those interested in them.

- To have a really good time doing all the above.

You have an open invitation to visit.
